Our Nordplus Junior family in farewell party in Vastse-Kuuste

Latvian team about participation in the last mobility Participation in the Nordplus Junior class exchange project “Feel better – learn better” in Vastse-Kuuste (Estonia)
  Monday
It started at 7:10. That day our parents brought us to school. The lessons began at 8:15. The first lesson was Russian. There we saw video 10 facts about Estonia and we had a quiz. Later all the participants of the project went to the sports hall, where we all got acquainted with each other.
Then we went to the music room, where students from Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Latvia represented their schools. That day Estonian teachers also gave a tour around the school.
The games room made the biggest impression on us. There the students of Vastse-Kuuste School could play board games after lessons. At 11.40. we had lunch. After that Estonian students gave us a lesson in Estonian, where we learned and pronounced simple phrases. Then all the participants were divided into 3 groups. They went to workshops: art, home economics and science. The school finished at 15:30 and we went home by bus. Towards evening our family went us for a walk in the forest. It was a very beautiful place. Bridge, river, mountains and fresh air. What could be better! At home tea and deep sleep waited for us.
Tuesday
The second day of stay in Vastse-Kuuste passed quickly and actively. After an early breakfast with our family we went to school. The teachers waited for us. During the first hour at school we defended our projects about bad habits of the modern world. We had unique opportunity to work in the same group with the students from different countries and to better English language skills.
After we went to Tartu, where we visited the science centre ''AHHAA''. There it was possible to get acquainted with science and technology in a fun and playful way! Illusion, the laws of physics and chemistry, the internal structure of electrical items and people, as well as the ability to ride a bicycle on a wire from the height of 8 meters. There was exciting and we did not notice how quickly time had passed. It had been the experience of a lifetime for us. After the students had free time in Tartu. Its beauty and streets were impressive.
Then we returned to the bus and went back to school. There was a lesson in science for students, where we made various experiments. Impressed after the lesson and the science centre ''AHHAA'' the students went to their families. Each of us spent time with a host family in a different way, but that Tuesday evening we all decided to spend time together and went to bowling. We spent there about 3-4 hours, playing and practising English. The game was fast and fun. We ate pizza and drank lemonade. We had a good time. Tuesday was splendid.

Wednesday
We went to school in the morning. At school all the participants were divided into 3 groups and went to workshops: art, home economics and science.
After that we had healthy and entertaining lessons. The teachers told us about expeditions. We learned how to give first aid to a person. We played learning games. Then we went to lunch. It was very tasty. Then we made a key fob. At the end of that school day we drew a school logo on the map and tried to draw it on the phone using GPS.

Thursday
At 8 o'clock we were at school and the lessons began. On that day we had a lesson in natural science, where we were taught to make plastic from milk.
After that we had xbox dancing competitions. We supported the dancers from our team very much, but the Lithuanians were better and we were second. Then we had volleyball competitions. That time we managed to take the first place. But it wasn’t our last competition. We had also basketball competitions and orientation. We took the second place in basketball and the third in orientation. After that we had lunch and we could have a rest. After we had the last competition – tug-of-war. We understood that the first place we did not take, because the Estonians were too strong. We did our best and took the second place. Nevertheless in summary we took the first place. Hurray! We won! We are the champions!
At the end of that day we had a farewell party, because the next day we had to leave Vastse-Kuuste and return home.

Friday.
That day rightly can be considered the most crying and sad day. Our day began with understanding and perception that it was the last. Lying on the bed we didn’t like to get up, but we simply wanted to get back to basics and have all the happy moments of the project again. Breakfast, travel arrangements and a ride in a bus – everything was as usual and also so beautiful.
And meeting in the music room … . All the students wanted that it lasted and lasted. That day at school we had a lesson in mathematics. It was interesting. We draw different shapes and calculate their area. Then we gathered in the gym and we played bingo. We had to write the names of the students from the project opposite certain facts. After that we began to draw posters from our country to the host country. Everybody did as best he could and put his heart. And the last thing we saw was the performance of a music band from Vastse-Kuuste. After that we bad farewell, many of us cried and were sad.
